[vision] 11/24/11
I want to first say "Happy Thanksgiving to you all!"
This morning in prayer I asked the Lord for a word for the day? And the word I received confirmed what I
have been quickened to over and over again the last couple of weeks. Jeremiah's Sash.
SAW: Jeremiah 13:9
" “Thus says the LORD: ‘In this manner I will ruin the pride of Judah and the great pride of
Jerusalem."
In context, this verse is referring to the Israel and how unpleasing they had been to the Lord.
In verse 10 the Lord says, "This evil people, who refuse to hear My words, who follow the dictates of
their hearts, and walk after other gods to serve them and worship them, shall be just like this sash
which is profitable for nothing."
On this Thanksgiving, we ought not to be thankful only for the 'things' in which the Lord has provided us to
enjoy in this life, but we need to lift our eyes and hearts to the throne, and be ever praising and ever thankful
that our God is long suffering with us. We need to renounce all the little gods in our lives and turn and repent
and follow the only God there is. Jehovah! Renounce the god of television, money, unsatisfactory music, etc.
And fall on your face before the Living God and serve Him day and night. Cling to His side as this sash of
Jeremiah's. Cling and don't let go regardless of what may come. Cling to God! For He desires for you to be a
people of renown, for praise and for glory (v. 11). He loves you so much~
