Darkness is His covering..

4/25/11
I heard this, this morning...Possible a word for my region as  right now we have had one severe thunderstorm after another... Complete with hail and bolts of lightening for the last couple of weeks.... Natural aligns with the Spiritual...

Heard: "He makes darkness his covering"

Darkness:  Strongs H2822; Occurs 142 times in the KJV
 1) darkness, obscurity

a) darkness
b) secret place

Psalm 18:9-15 (NIV)

9 He parted the heavens and came down;

   dark clouds were under his feet.
10 He mounted the cherubim and flew;
   he soared on the wings of the wind.
11 He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him—
   the dark rain clouds of the sky.
12 Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced,
   with hailstones and bolts of lightning.
13 The LORD thundered from heaven;
   the voice of the Most High resounded.[a]
14 He shot his arrows and scattered the enemy,
   with great bolts of lightning he routed them.
15 The valleys of the sea were exposed
   and the foundations of the earth laid bare
at your rebuke, LORD,
   at the blast of breath from your nostrils.

12 He made darkness his canopy around him—
   the dark[b] rain clouds of the sky.
13 Out of the brightness of his presence
   bolts of lightning blazed forth.
14 The LORD thundered from heaven;
   the voice of the Most High resounded.
15 He shot his arrows and scattered the enemy,
   with great bolts of lightning he routed them.
16 The valleys of the sea were exposed

    Updated 4/26/11

    This morning I am still just very much drawn to what I heard yesterday,
    Heard: " He makes darkness his covering."
    ...and I have been praying over this word this morning...I just feel that there is so much more to this word... As I began to think. about the totality of this scripture.. it pertains to David being delivered from the hands of his enemies including Saul...

    I am quickened to Sandy Warner's  Rhema from 4/21  "Days of Awe"

    I am sitting here thinking how I have felt a surgence of angelic host lately....  and am reminded of the natural aligning with the spiritual... Right now we are experiencing RAIN... BOLTS OF LIGHTENING...A CANOPY~DARK CLOUDS... AS THE SPIRITUAL IS ALIGNING WITH THE NATURAL... GOD IS MAKING THE DARKNESS HIS COVING... LET IT RAIN~LORD~LET IT RAIN~~

    HEARD: "We have arrived!"

    CONFIRMATION #1:

    Psalm 18:10-20 (NIV)
    10 He mounted the cherubim and flew;
       he soared on the wings of the wind.
    11 He made darkness his covering, his canopy around him—
       the dark rain clouds of the sky.
    12 Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced,
       with hailstones and bolts of lightning.
    13 The LORD thundered from heaven;
       the voice of the Most High resounded.[a]
    14 He shot his arrows and scattered the enemy,
       with great bolts of lightning he routed them.
    15 The valleys of the sea were exposed
       and the foundations of the earth laid bare
    at your rebuke, LORD,
       at the blast of breath from your nostrils.
     16 He reached down from on high and took hold of me;
       he drew me out of deep waters.
    17 He rescued me from my powerful enemy,
       from my foes, who were too strong for me.
    18 They confronted me in the day of my disaster,
       but the LORD was my support.
    19 He brought me out into a spacious place;
       he rescued me because he delighted in me.
     20 The LORD has dealt with me according to my righteousness;
       according to the cleanness of my hands he has rewarded me.

    Storm Warnings

    Jesus said - “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’ “And in the morning, ‘There will be a storm today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Do you know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but cannot discern the signs of the times?” Matthew 16:2, 3

    We are in process of crossing a historical threshold in the history of the United States of America. We are in the midst of going from one room in the Spirit to the next in God’s dealings with the nations. God’s plumbline has been dropped into the midst of the nations to see what character of building materials we have been using. Evaluation time has come. As we round the corner to the strategic, pivotal year 2000, the cracks in our personal, family, church and nation will show forth to determine if our present foundation needs jack hammered, torn up and repoured, or if they are solid enough for God’s Last Days House to be built upon.
    A time of pressure is upon us. These will be“days of hardship and days of hope”. Times of shock and quaking change are imminent! For the past five years certain sectors of the body of Christ have been experiencing “times of refreshing”. But the purpose of these times of refreshing are about to be revealed - refreshed to be strengthened for what lies ahead. We have been experiencing a Gentle Awakening; next it will be the Rude Awakening; and then, if the Lord has the fullness of His will accomplished, this will be followed by a Great Awakening.
    Discerning the Times
    What time is it anyway? What is the prophetic pulse indicating? Recently, at meetings where I speak or have attended, fire alarms go off in the buildings. One night, when I was on the road in California, the fire alarm went off right outside my hotel room long and loud two times in the middle of the night. Once here in Nashville, TN, right at the close of my message, the fire alarm went off in the rented school building. While in Sunderland, England, at the close of the last nights session, the fire alarm went off! What is God trying to say to us?!
    Wake Up calls are being sent through the Body of Christ. Storm Warnings are being issued to the church. The voice of the Lord is beginning to rumble, but soon it will begin to thunder! It’s time to build storm cellars of prayer (Psalms 91 and 57) where we will be protected under the shadow of His wings.
    A Word of Warning
    In April of 1998 the city of Nashville, TN was struck by two tornadoes. It was an alarming and shocking experience with much devastation. The morning after the storms, the voice of the Holy Spirit came to me and said, “If Nashville does not repent, another storm will come.” There was an urgency in the message.
    Later in the summer the voice of the Holy Spirit came to me again and described three things that Nashville needed cleansing of that all started with the letter “I”. He spoke to me that there was mixture in the worship - it is called idolatry. Secondly, He spoke to me concerning the historic place of the independent spirit of pride. Thirdly, I heard a strange phrase that stuck with me, increase for capital gain. (My understanding is that this deals with taking the blessings and prosperity of God just for the sake of selfish pursuits.)
    Many of us in Nashville, believe that was simply a “Word of Warning” to our city. A dear friend and co-laborer of mine named David Fitzpatrick, has written an entire prophetic interpretation related to the day the storms hit Nashville called The Voice of God on Deaf Ears that you can look at for detail on this matter. Clearly, the Lord is sending warnings ahead of time! Many other regions, cities and nations are receiving similar wake up calls. But will we respond?
    Exposing the Enemies Schemes
    While God is using pressure to test our foundations, the enemy attempts to toss in his two cents worth and create confusion and muddy the waters. In recent weeks, a demonic “spirit of anxiety” has been unleashed against the saints. When this goes undetected and not cleansed, it brings in it’s bigger brother named “panic attack”. After this is released the door is open to it’s big cousin named “terror”. There is a confrontation with this “spirit of fear” in it’s various forms being waged at this very hour. In these hours, we will need true discernment like never before!
    But the Lord has the antidote! Call 911! Yes, I said call 911. Psalms 91:1 promises, “He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” The Lord is our defense - call on His name! Let’s agree with Psalms 94:1, 2, “O Lord, God of vengeance; God of vengeance, shine forth! Rise up, O Judge of the earth.”
    The prophet Nahum said it this way, “The Lord is slow is anger and great in power, and the Lord will by no means leave the guilty unpunished. In whirlwind and storm is His way, and clouds are the dust beneath His feet.” (1:3) But his admonishment does not stop there, it continues with a promise in verse seven, “The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble, and He knows those who take refuge in Him.”
    Days of Hardship - Days of Hope
    Will we be prepared? Whether it is adverse, strange weather patterns, Year 2000 Computer Bug, global economic recession, or the U. S. materialistic Titanic Ship going under, these times of hardship can become great days of hope. Isaiah said, “For behold, darkness will cover the earth, and deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord will rise upon you, and His glory will appear upon you.” (Isaiah 60: 2)
    Yes, let’s receive the wake up call and get ready! Let’s put on our gospel shoes and be ready to tell others of the hope that resides within us. Let us overcome anxiety by a revelation of the Father’s great love. Let the Storm Warnings be heard loud and clear. But let us also rejoice - for the Days of Hardship will lead to Days of a Great Awakening!

    An Easter Lily...

    I love to be prophesied over....This morning I received this word from a dear prophet friend of mine... It's so significant as the spiritual aligns with the natural...  This has blessed my heart on so many levels... I am blogging it not to bring attention to me, because I am NOTHING without Jesus... All that I am and all that I am to become is because of the grace and mercy I receive from Jesus on a daily basis!  He is to receive the glory and He alone.

    I give you thanks Father for it is to your glory the work you have done in me... I look forward to everyday with you!

    Hi Erica,
    Last night as I was beginning to ask the Lord for a word for you, I saw an Easter lily. Then I thought tomorrow is resurrection Sunday, how neat is that. Jesus is not only saying He is resurrecting gifts in your life that has been dormant, but He is confirming it in the natural too with it being resurrection Sunday.
    Seeing the lily, I had the thought not only are you outwardly beautiful, but you have a beautiful heart, your life in the Spirit and your desire to please Jesus is so pleasing to His heart.
    Then I wanted to look up the meaning of your name. Erica - Inherent meaning; brave, spiritual connotation: victorious, Scripture: Is 60:1 "Arise, shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you."
    What came to me first is victory over the witchcraft you have been experiencing. Entering a new season and stepping out into new things, the enemy tries to stop you or shut you down. I proclaim the meaning of your name over you in this new season, as you step into new things, you will be victorious, that God's favor will be upon you and be a protective covering around you. May He release increased wisdom and discernment to you.

    Numbers 6:24-26 " The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up His countenance on you and give you peace."
    Prov. 2:6-10 "For the Lord grants wisdom! His every word is a treasure of knowledge and understanding. He grants good sense to the godly – His saints. He is their shield, protecting them and guarding their pathway. He shows how to distinguish right from wrong, how to find the right decision every time. For wisdom and truth will enter the very center of your being, filling your life with joy."(LB)

    I wanted to share something from Brian Simmons book 'Song of Solomon, the journey of the bride'

    "How Jesus views your love

    'He calls my love for Him delightful. Jesus values your love more than any other pleasure there is. He measures it not by its strength, but by its sincerity.
    You are His banqueting table. Your heart is a love feast for Jesus. When you long for Him and are drawn by Bridal affection into the waves of worship - you are delightful to the Son of God! Beautiful and pleasing are your ways when you pour out your worship to Him. He desires love more than your sacrificial works of ministry.
    Jesus is saying to you, 'Your love is my wine. Your virtues are my sweet smelling perfume. She has sent so much time with Him that she now smells like Him. His fragrance is upon her. How incredible to think that we are able to minister to Him, to delight His heart."(pg 135)

    Jesus loves you very much!

    Love,
    Hermie
