"Nineveh"

american flag

6/29/11 Rhema

SAW and  HEARD:  "Nineveh"

I started reading in Nahum concerning the city of Nineveh...Wow, what a city of cruelty!  The Lord calls it the City of Blood...

Nahum 3

Woe to Nineveh
1 Woe to the city of blood,
   full of lies,
full of plunder,
   never without victims!
2 The crack of whips,
   the clatter of wheels,
galloping horses
   and jolting chariots!
3 Charging cavalry,
   flashing swords
   and glittering spears!
Many casualties,
   piles of dead,
bodies without number,
   people stumbling over the corpses—
4 all because of the wanton lust of a prostitute,
   alluring, the mistress of sorceries,
who enslaved nations by her prostitution
   and peoples by her witchcraft.

What a harsh place... As I read, I thought, wow, Lord what on earth...where are you going with this... I spent so much of today coming back to this word and just pondering...Then this afternoon, I read in Jonah about concerning Nineveh and got a totally different view...

Jonah 3

Jonah Goes to Nineveh
1 Then the word of the LORD came to Jonah a second time: 2 “Go to the great city of Nineveh and proclaim to it the message I give you.”
3 Jonah obeyed the word of the LORD and went to Nineveh. Now Nineveh was a very large city; it took three days to go through it. 4 Jonah began by going a day’s journey into the city, proclaiming, “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown.” 5 The Ninevites believed God. A fast was proclaimed, and all of them, from the greatest to the least, put on sackcloth.
6 When Jonah’s warning reached the king of Nineveh, he rose from his throne, took off his royal robes, covered himself with sackcloth and sat down in the dust. 7 This is the proclamation he issued in Nineveh:
“By the decree of the king and his nobles:
Do not let people or animals, herds or flocks, taste anything; do not let them eat or drink. 8 But let people and animals be covered with sackcloth. Let everyone call urgently on God. Let them give up their evil ways and their violence. 9 Who knows? God may yet relent and with compassion turn from his fierce anger so that we will not perish.”
10 When God saw what they did and how they turned from their evil ways, he relented and did not bring on them the destruction he had threatened."

Wow, I believe God was showing me how bad Nineveh was to then say... Look at how bad they were and then they repented~ I then relented! God held his hand of destruction... When I think about this word I can't help but think about America today...We could very well substitute in "Woe to America"...I believe we are at such a crucial time where God is pleading with us to repent as a nation...He wants no one to parish~His patience is GREAT!

On 6/27 and 6/28

Quickened Verse: 2 Peter 3:9, "9 The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."

confirmation:
Then I logged onto QW and the verse of the day on 6/28 was 2 Peter 3:9

Click the link above...it's just a minute long...

The scene in this short promotional video reminded me of what I had read in Jonah 3...  A nation on there faces before God... and God heard their cries...

Quicken Rhema: "Re-Birth"

[vision] 6/22/11

This morning in a staff meeting my nurse manager started discussing the upcoming holiday....As soon as she stated, "Holiday" I had this vision:

HEARD: "Christmas"

SAW: A manger scene (it was only for a split second)

The holiday she was discussing is July 4th, which is the celebration of the birth of our nation... Christmas is the celebration of the birth of our Savior....

I wonder if July 4, 2011 will be a significant "re-birthing' of our nation...?

1 Peter 1:22-23
22Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:
23Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
John 3: 3

3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Quickened Dream 5/29/11

The Arm of God....

{Dream} 5/29/11

I saw white everywhere.  There were white star shaped cloud like cushioned pedestals surrounding Jesus.  There were babies on these pedestals.  These babies started crawling towards this great strong arm that reached out across a divide.  Jesus was guiding/ensuring that the babies were going in the right direction.  I got a sense it was the arm of God. Three-fourths of this arm was bare but the upper part of the arm was clothed in white.

Isaiah 52:10
" The Lord will lay bare his holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God. "

Isaiah 51: 5
"My righteousness draws near speedily, my salvation is on the way, and my arm will bring justice to the nations."

Isaiah 46:13
" I am bringing my righteousness near, it is not far away; and my salvation will not be delayed. I will grant salvation to Zion, my spender to Israel."

Isaiah 11:11
" In that day the Root of Jesse will stand as a banner for the peoples; the nations will rally to him, and his place of rest will be glorious. In that day the Lord will reach out his hand a second time to reclaim the remnant that is left of his people from Assyria, from Lower Egypt, from Upper Egypt, from Cush, from Elam, from Babylonia, from Hamath and from the islands of the sea. "

================================

Recently while on a ministry trip, I heard the Lord say that there has never been repentance made for the sin of Jonah! Immediately I checked the last chapter of Jonah and understood what God was saying. Jonah was exceedingly displeased and very angry because he knew that God was gracious and merciful and slow to anger. When the Ninevites repented, God revoked the sentence of evil against them and did not destroy them or their land.
Jonah's Sin Against God
God gave Jonah time to repent for his anger against Him, however he chose to sulk and wished in himself to die.
Jonah 4:9 And God said to Jonah, "Do you do well to be angry for the loss of the gourd?" And he said, "I do well to be angry, angry enough to die!" (Amplified)
As a Body of Believers we stood in agreement that we needed to make repentance for the sin of Jonah's anger against God. Jonah's pride prevented him from rejoicing at the victory of the message he delivered to Nineveh. He was probably the greatest evangelist that has ever lived. Over 120,000 people repented, turning that great city to righteousness.
A prophet's responsibility is obedience to God in delivering the word or message, but he is not allowed to judge itJonah should have had a heart of thanksgiving knowing that God's heart of love redeemed Nineveh for a greater purpose.
A few days after we made repentance, the Lord awoke me in a profound way as I heard Him say, "Jonah, can you hear Me?" Then He gave me this awesome and heartfelt message about the Prophet Jonah. A message I believe all of us need to take to heart.
Jonah, My Prophet
"Jonah's tale is true. I abide yet this day in the hearts of My people because of Jonah's word.
"He was a strong man with a dreadful fear of Me, however he was overwhelmed by My word and mandate. Fear of man overtook him and he fled to Tarshish. I did not punish him," says God; "I loved him very much and therefore spared his life so he would complete his mandate in Me.
"He did; he walked a crooked mile in fear and trembling. Awestruck were the people of Nineveh at the sight of Jonah's perplexity. They readily repented and were full of My fear. However Jonah was disappointed in himself and My love for My people.
"Yes, repentance carries great rewards, and so I did not destroy Nineveh that day. She was very close to My heart for many years to follow.
"However, Jonah was still disappointed. I sent him away for a time and a season. His disappointment with Me was greater than his love for Me and My people. He became useless for My Kingdom and lived in self-pity the remainder of his years.
"Did he obey Me? Yes, he did. Did he rebel? Yes, he did. Did he honor Me? Yes, he did until he became prideful and would not repent for his sin against Me.
"I cannot tolerate a haughty spirit," says God; "full of pride and self justification. I am merciful and triumph over sin repeatedly.
"Now I say to you this day, pick up Jonah's mantle and go to Nineveh. This time repentance on your part will be demanded first. My people will know My heart of love for them as you cry out mercy for them through repentance. My mercy triumphs over judgment.
"Where there has been little or no hope, faith will abound. Faith brings hope and hope deliverance and deliverance brings new freedom in the spirit and the natural."
Jonah's Mantle
We are living in a time like that of Jonah's prophecy. The world is corrupted by sin and we are called to go into the world and bring it to repentance. We are all called to pick up Jonah's mantle and go to the nations of this earth. In all things we say and do we are supposed to shed God's light and love.
Jonah's name means dove, and dove means love. Our message to the world is repentance from sin through our expression of love. It's time for the Jonahs to arise and go into the world with a message of God's heart of love toward them. Love is the basis of all Christianity, for God is Love.
Repentance is the Key!
We are called to be obedient to God. When He speaks, we listen and then obey His voice. Unlike Jonah, we cannot turn and go the other way. We must speak His word in Spirit and Truth through the love of Jesus.
Repentance is the key that turns the heart of God. The Prophet Amos cried out to God twice not to destroy Jacob. Amos knew that God was merciful and His mercy triumphs over judgment. He stood in the gap for Israel when she could not stand for herself. God's heart was eased and comforted.
Amos 7:6 The Lord relented and revoked this sentence: "This also shall not be," said the Lord [and He was eased and comforted concerning it].
• Faith brings hope (confident expectation).
• Hope brings deliverance (repentance of sin).
• Deliverance brings new freedom (Holy Spirit liberty).

I am...

I am

**This is a realization of the dream I received on Saturday June 25,2011: No Weapon Formed Shall...

[vision]

Words.  They can become binding agents to the negative whether or not they are intended to be that way... With out clear communication sometimes we interpret things incorrectly. Other times we may feel the full brunt of well aimed harshness...Still, there are times when the lack of words can hurt just as bad.   Either way directly or indirectly words can hurt...and this hurt, mishandled, can cause soul wounds...

Whether the toughest of the tough is willing to admit it or not, we all get injured by words or lack there of...And to be honest, sometimes word wounds are more painful than actual flesh and blood wounds...There are all kinds of narcotics and non-narcotics available to handle flesh and blood wounds... But how do we handle soul wounds...?

Saturday, I was wounded indirectly.  Oh, my heart hurt and I immediately ran to God, crying on His shoulder... I felt very much like a child running to a parent over a sibling hurting my feelings...After sometime  at the feet of my Father I asked the Lord to bless this person who hurt me...to bless all they do... every endeavor...every decision...every area of their life.  "Lord, bless them!", I said through my tears with a sincere heart!

Last night as I laid my head down to sleep this wound seemed to be still gaping open...an open door which I knew I had to close quickly...I started praying in the spirit...

SAW: A linear open wound with a large hand coming in and very precisely and skillfully injecting analgesic into the bed of the wound.

HEARD: Word Hindrance. Pain

HEARD: Who cut in on you.

Within mins my heart was at peace... my mind was settled...The Lord made me realize that this really wasn't about this other person...it was about me and my insecurities.  About giving other people the authority to influence my thoughts... my actions... my worthiness....my understanding of who I am in Christ...The Lord made me realize that my identity comes solely from HIM as he is the giver and the taker of everything... My worth, my calling does not come as a result of mans' approval or opinions.

Within minutes the hindrance from those words no longer lingered... my soul was healed and I had a new refreshed understanding of my calling.

Galatians 5:6-8
6 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
7 You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth? 8 That kind of persuasion does not come from the one who calls you.

Psalm 147:3
3 He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.

. ~I give you praise and glory~Thank you Father...

A Place to Belong...

This morning in my prayer and medication time I opened my bible to Romans and my eyes were quicken to  verses 14-17.

"14 For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. 15 The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.[c] And by him we cry, “Abba,[d] Father.” 16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. 17 Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory."

This morning in church we had a minister and his family visiting who were in the process of adopting a beautiful baby girl...As it was told they were nine months into the process. As a church we gathered around the alter and this family and prayed them...As I prayed...

HEARD:  "A place to belong"

As a baby was finding her place to belong in a new family, so was our youth this past week... Just returning from camp they were eager to spread their good news of a fresh fire that had fallen...They spoke about their personal journeys with the Lord as they were finding there place to "Belong" in the kingdom of God... Realizing their adoption as a now child of God... Some for the first time at camp were understanding their "Son-ship"... Some spoke of their new found understanding of the cross and the forgiveness it speaks of...others accepting their call to step up and be leaders... I felt the presence of God so strongly...even now as I am typing this I feel such a strong anointing on our youth...and this morning I witness the manifestation of this anointing as the youth spoke of a vision that God has placed in their hearts... a vision to lead their school to Christ...

The last two days I have opened my bible and my eyes immediately fall on Hebrews 12:  "God is a consuming fire."  Father my prayer for these young leaders is for you Lord to create a God sized consuming fire before their very eyes... That Lord their words will go forth as your words accomplishing victory and all may see your Glory... Your manifested presence among our youth!  Lord that as a child comes before the throne of grace and realizes their son-ship a great anointing will fall and that all may see and feel your consuming fire!  In Jesus Mighty name...Amen!

I recently had a dream No Weapon Formed Shall... that speaks to us as children of God being placed in larger territories... and the enemy coming in and trying to steal our communication... our places of belonging... But, see when we are able to call ourselves children of God, joint heirs with Christ,  we have access to His all surpassing  power.. for all we have to do is call on Him... and He will send forth his angels who will fight on our behalf...return to us what the enemy has stolen...

God says in Isaiah 54 that he created the destroyer; Therefore nothing the destroyer can do will prevail against a child of God..

Isaiah 54:15-1720

15 If anyone does attack you, it will not be my doing;
whoever attacks you will surrender to you.
16 “See, it is I who created the blacksmith
who fans the coals into flame
and forges a weapon fit for its work.
And it is I who have created the destroyer to wreak havoc;
17 no weapon forged against you will prevail,
and you will refute every tongue that accuses you.
This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD,
and this is their vindication from me,”
            declares the LORD.

Father right now in the name of Jesus Christ I pray a hedge of protection around our youth...Lord I pray strong walls, secure walls will be built that no weapon formed will prosper... Lord that you will send forth your might army of angelic host to guard and protect our Youth...Lord fortify their faith...Father that they will be unshakable... grounded in the immovable foundation of your living words!  In Jesus Mighty name... I thank you Father... all praise and glory goes to you alone!

Wash Each Others' Feet...

Several days ago during some prayer and meditation time with the Lord... I began to read through John 13 (Jesus Washes His Disciples’ Feet), very particularly drawn to Jesus's actions....

Yesterday, I was watching a telecast from Sid Roth- It's Supernatural...which contained Israeli and Arab believers washing each others' feet.  I sat so captivated by this scene for no obvious reason, but I still sat and just was in awe over it.

Today, I went to see a patient who has been paralyzed from his waist down for years... So long that he has become very self sufficient..he has devised a way to do just about anything he needs to do...However, because he can't feel his feet he had developed a pressure ulcer on the bottom of one them from his scooter... I went today to check on the pressure ulcer and as I unwrapped his lower leg I noticed that his skin was really scaly and flaking off... Understanding it was because he just couldn't wash his feet while they were bandaged....Without even realizing what I was saying I offered to wash his feet for him...It seemed like such an obvious thing to do...but it absolutely shocked him... He stuttered, "Well, none of the other nurses has ever done it....it's okay I'll do it later..."  I just smiled and said, "Well, I am hear now...the bandages are off... Let me just wash them for you..." Still shocked he stuttered, "Well, okay..."  So I proceeded to wash get a wash clothe and soap and wash his feet....So happy to do it for him...

Heard: Servant

John 13: 12-17
"12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. 13 “You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14 Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15 I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16 Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17 Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them."

Father, I give you praise and glory for humbling yourself for me...Thank you for washing me clean... Thank  you, for teaching me this lesson I will never forget!

Growing Into IT

[vision] 6/24/11

Just after I got into bed last night I had the following vision:

SAW:... me in an over sized shirt.

HEARD: Growing...

Understanding: being placed in a larger territory...that I will grow into

Colossians 1:5-6

New International Version (NIV)
5 the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel 6 that has come to you. In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world—just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God’s grace.

Colossians 1:9-11

New International Version (NIV)

9 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives,[a] 10 so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, 11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience,

Be Still...

[Vision] 6/20/11

SAW:  a single chair

HEARD:  Be still

I have been pondering this for a few days, waiting on the Lord to confirm this word. This morning I received this following email which is definitely a timely word for me as it describes perfectly what I am going through right now...

Spirit of Prophecy Bulletin

SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by Marsha Burns -- 6/23/11:
I had a vision of a work of the enemy that comes like a whirlwind or tornado. There are darts and arrows in the force of the whirlwind that are designed to pierce those who are caught in its storm. The purpose of this attack is to bring fear, confusion, and a sense of helplessness. You can recognize this work by the chaos that tries to engulf your mind and emotions. Refuse to succumb to this force of darkness, and stand firm in your faith that I am with you to bring you through to complete victory. Stand still and see the deliverance that I will bring forth, says the Lord.
Exodus 14:13 And Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which He will accomplish for you today."

Exodus 14:14
New International Version (NIV)
14 The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Psalm 37:7
New International Version (NIV)
7 Be still before the LORD
   and wait patiently for him;
do not fret when people succeed in their ways,
when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Mark 4:39
New International Version (NIV)
39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm.

Father, I come to you humbly praising you and worshiping you.  Thank you father for revealing the enemy's schemes...and for fighting on my behalf! Father, there is certainly none like you!
